Fabric Shopping for #SewFancyPants at Hart's Fabric

Fabric window shopping is nearly as great as fabric PURCHASING so let’s do a little of one or the other (possibly both?).

Hart’s Fabric is an online fabric shop but there is also a store you can visit in Santa Cruz, CA. Hart’s carries apparel, quilting, and home decor fabrics so you can find just about anything you could possibly need in one location! I have enjoyed checking out their fabrics and you will want to read all the way to the end to find out about a GIVEAWAY that Hart’s has offered in partnership with #SewFancyPants!

If you want denim, you are looking at the right fabric shop! You’ll find stretch denims for Ginger Jeans and Ames Jeans as well as non-stretch denim for Morgan Jeans or Persephone Pants. And, since we’re buying our denim for pants, we might as well throw in a yard or two to make a jean jacket, right?

And if you want to branch out and sew up some twills and corduroy, Hart’s has those too! Use this beautiful charcoal stretch twill for some Robinson Trousers or Dawn Jeans (the latter goes up to size 30 in PDF form). For those of you who really want to be ON TREND for 2019 is to sew up some corduroy! Maybe make the Parasol Trousers or Manhattan Trousers? I saw a note on the SBCC website that the size range for the Manhattan is being expanded to 16W-28W! Woo hoo!
